The Team
Shamim Shivji, LL.B
Shamim Shivji, is a practicing family lawyer with over 18 years experience. She is currently an associate lawyer with Ratcliff and Company in North Vancouver where she has been practicing since July 2004. From 1988 to 2003, she practiced in the field of family law, personal injury law, and wills and estates law in Toronto, Ontario.
Shamim's considerable education and experience in Alternative Dispute Resolution leads her to focus on collaborative and practical solutions without the need to go to court. This avoids the traditional adversarial approach, and can save the disputing parties significant stress, time and money.
Shamim is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the North Shore Collaborative Family Law Group. Shamim has been, and remains, active in numerous community services.
