Claire Sutton, M.A., RCC, CEAP is an EFAP (Employee & Family Assistance Program) specialist. She has worked in the field of EAP / EFAP for over thirteen years and has held the following positions: clinical counsellor, program manager, clinical supervisor, National Director, independent EFAP Consultant. Claire is one of few clinical professionals in Canada who has earned the CEAP (Certified Employee Assistance Professional) credential. She is also one of the few mental health professionals who has held management and consulting positions with both internal and external EAPs / EFAPs.
Given this varied experience in EAP, Claire has consulted with all levels of management of hundreds of organizations and helped them deal with organizational, performance and behavioural issues. The focus is toward a healthier, more positive and more productive organization.
Claire has also given back greatly to the field of EAP. She has been on the planning committee for INPUT, an EAP conference held every two years in Ottawa. She has presented at EAP conferences in both Canada and the United States. She has designed and delivered the first EAP training courses in BC geared for clinical counsellors to deliver quality and up-to-date services. She is the EAP Advisor to the members of the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors and is currently the President of the Western Canada EAPA Chapter (www.bceapa.com).
